Frequently Asked Questions
How many players does the Evercade VS-R support?
Up to four players in local multiplayer, using its four USB controller ports. Extra controllers plug in directly, with no wireless pairing needed.
Does the Evercade VS-R come with a game?
The NEON RETRO bundle includes the Tomb Raider Collection 1 cartridge (Tomb Raider, Tomb Raider II and Tomb Raider III). The CLASSIC RETRO version is also available, with cartridge bundles at participating retailers.
Does the Evercade VS-R include an HDMI cable or power adapter?
No HDMI cable is included, so you need to buy one separately. A MicroUSB power cable (5V/2A) is included, but the power adapter is not.
Can the Evercade VS-R play two cartridges at once?
It has two cartridge slots, so two Evercade cartridges can be loaded at the same time.
Does the Evercade VS-R play every Evercade cartridge?
Nearly all of them. The exception Blaze named at launch was Namco Museum Collection 1 & 2, which its 2024 announcement said were not supported on the VS-R. Those two carts were handheld-only by licence, and a 2025 update made them run on the original VS, so check Blaze’s current guidance if you plan to use them on a VS-R.
What resolution does the Evercade VS-R output?
1080p over HDMI, for TVs and monitors.
