Button Combination Secret Games
- Pressing the menu button 10 times on the main screen of the EXP unlocks Fairy Fire – Defender of the Fairies [Thanks to Lost Cosmonaut]
- These need to be done with no cartridge inserted on the main cart screen (so it is telling you to insert a cart):
- L1 + R1 + Up = NNNNNN (NES)
- L2 + R2 + Select = Gotris (Sega Master System)
- L1 + R1 + Down = Spacey McRacey (NES)
- On the main screen: Press the menu button 10 times = Fairy Fire – Defender of the Fairies [Thanks to MagCimander for pointing out it works on EXP]

- Newsletter code (unique per user) = The Sword of Stone (Evercade Native) — a chunky 8-bit RPG with three playable characters. Added in the 5th Anniversary firmware update (2025). How to unlock: Go to Settings → “Get free unlocks!” — press A to scan the QR code or Y if already subscribed to the Evercade newsletter. Enter the unique code you receive in Settings → Secret. Requires Wi-Fi. Valid on up to 5 devices.
- Mystery game (identity unknown) — the 5th Anniversary update also added a second undisclosed hidden game. Blaze have not revealed what it is or how to access it. If you find it, let us know!

Game Secrets
These are secrets hidden in the original games – they are not Evercade secrets, but they are still secrets 🙂
- Roids : Insert Gremlin Collection 1 (#24), choose Hardcore 4X4, from the main menu select Race Type and choose Time Trial, then go to Start Game, go to Edit Names and enter DUTCHMAN as the name, a very nineties looking face will appear on the screen, hit Back (Y Button) until you get to the screen that says Start and Options on it, choose Options, then go to Credits, you can then play a version of Asteroids called Roids with the asteroids replaced by faces of the coders (all Evercade devices) [Thanks to Brian CIVICMINDED Lesyk]
- Unnamed Sinistar clone: Insert Codemasters Collection 1 (#19), choose Mego-lo-Mania, go to the in-game Options menu (after the player select screen), and press Load / Save, enter JOOLS (all Evercade devices) [Thanks to Brian CIVICMINDED Lesyk]
- Rushing Beat (Japanese version of Brawl Brothers): insert Jaleco Collection 1 (#15), choose Brawl Brothers, keep pressing A, B, Y, and X in a clockwise pattern at the Jaleco logo, press Start and Down three times when the screen glitches (all Evercade devices) [Thanks to Brian CIVICMINDED Lesyk]
