Cartridge 23 in the Evercade Arcade Collection
Visco Corporation was a Japanese arcade developer active from the late 1980s through the 1990s, best known for their Neo Geo titles and a string of polished shoot-em-ups. Visco Arcade 1 brings eight of their games to Evercade — a collection dominated by scrolling shooters, with a top-down rally racer and a football game rounding it out. If you missed Visco the first time around, this is a solid introduction to a developer who punched well above their profile.
The Games
Andro Dunos (1992)
The standout of the collection. A horizontal scrolling shoot-em-up originally developed for the Neo Geo MVS and AES — Visco’s first Neo Geo title and one of their most celebrated games. Players choose from four switchable weapon types, each upgradable independently through four levels, giving the game more tactical depth than most shooters of the era. Two-player co-op is supported. Ashura Blaster (1990)
A vertically scrolling shoot-em-up in which players pilot a helicopter through waves of air and ground enemies. Choose from multiple bomb configurations to suit your play style, collect power-ups, and fight through boss encounters. Classic arcade shooter structure with a satisfying pick-up-and-play flow. Asuka & Asuka (1988)
One of Visco’s earliest arcade releases — a vertical scrolling shooter with two-player simultaneous play. One of the older titles on the cart and a good look at where the developer started before their Neo Geo years. Museum of the Game page
Drift Out (1990)
A top-down rally racing game built around drift mechanics. Race across a series of courses with tight corners that reward controlled slides over brute speed. A neat change of pace from the shooters on the rest of the cart. Museum of the Game page
Earth Joker: U.N. Defence Force (1993)
A vertically scrolling shoot-em-up set against a military backdrop. Earth Joker sits comfortably in the classic 90s arcade shooter mould — waves of enemies, power-ups, and boss fights across multiple stages.
Galmedes (1992)
Another vertical shooter in the collection, with a sci-fi space setting. Galmedes follows the familiar shoot-em-up structure of the era — enemy waves, pickups, and progressively harder stages. Museum of the Game page
Maze of Flott (1990)
An action-maze game that breaks from the shooter-heavy lineup on this cart. Navigate mazes, avoid enemies, and find the exit — one of the more unusual entries in the Visco back catalogue. Museum of the Game page
Goal! Goal! Goal! (1995)
Visco’s football game and the most recent title on the cart, originally released for the Neo Geo. A top-down arcade football title — fast-paced and accessible. Good for a two-player head-to-head session. Museum of the Game page

What to Expect
Five of the eight games are scrolling shooters — vertical and horizontal — so if you love the genre this cart is excellent value. Andro Dunos is the clear highlight and one of the better shooters you’ll find on any Evercade arcade cart. Drift Out and Goal! Goal! Goal! provide variety, and the collection gives you a good overview of Visco’s output across the late 80s and 90s.
If you want more from Visco’s Neo Geo catalogue, Visco Arcade 2 is also coming in August 2026 — it leans more heavily into Neo Geo MVS/AES titles including Breakers, Ganryu, and Neo Drift Out.
